1896, Gottlieb Suhner founded a cable factory that eventually became BRUGG. Approximately 2000 employees are working in our 5 different divisions. With 24 production sites and more than 30 sales divisions, the Brugg group is represented in all important industrial countries.
Incoming orders for the BRUGG Group increased by a solid 6%. Pipe Systems far exceeded its performance in the previous year, recording impressive growth of 17 %. Rope Technology grew by 3 % thanks to high numbers of orders at Fatzer and healthy performance in Netting Solutions and Wire Ropes.
In 2008 flexible debris flow nets were developed within a three-year Ph.D. thesis by Corinna Wendeler. Since then, they have been used all over the world for debris flow protection or slope/riverbed stabilization.

The Rhine power station Schaffhausen is a run-of-river power station with 2 machine groups and 3 weir fields. The automatic water balance system (WHA) of the power plant has been completely renewed.
After a run of customer events in Europe, Geobrugg is hosting a Geo-Summit in North America for the fi rst time. The world’s fi rst dimensionable ATTENTUATOR system will be presented and tested live at the event.
To supply district heating to an exclusive street lined with high-end stores, our FLEXWELL district heating cables needed to be laid under the historic Odeonsplatz square in the center of Munich – in a project which made the most of the advantages of FHK lines.
