The New CTP Stranding Machine

After a lot of hard work and much anticipation, the new SKET system was finally inaugurated in hall 5 in Birr (Switzerland) on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 27, 2018. A vast number of employees from Brugg Drahtseil AG turned out to watch this exciting spectacle.

It was also a great opportunity to thank David Frei in front of all the staff and to say goodbye to him before his departure from the company at the end of March 2018. The whole affair was then rounded off with a small aperitif and some scintillating conversations.

Partnership with Kone Elevators

Brugg Lifting is delighted to announce that, after many years of intensive efforts, it has signed a global master agreement with Kone Elevators. Brugg Lifting and Kone have been cooperating for many years. Following successful testing on the terrifying double-deck elevators at the Kone test center in Tytri (Finland), the HRS ropes from Kone Elevators are now in use at the Marina Bay Sands building in Singapore. Now that this agreement has been signed and the SCX9 high-performance ropes have been approved by Kone, the way has been paved for closer cooperation between Brugg Lifting and Kone throughout the world – not just with regard to the technologies of today but also those of tomorrow.

Project Awarded:

Marina One in Singapore

Brugg Lifting is delighted to report that it has been awarded a contract by Schindler to produce the ropes for a stunning building in Singapore called “Marina One Residences”.

This state-of-the-art building was designed by Ingenhoven, a prestigious architectural studio with substantial expertise in sustainable design. Brugg Lifting will supply 30 elevators with 50 km of its world-class HRS ropes.
