All Geobrugg systems for protection against landslides and debris flows were recently put through their paces by a European Technical Assessment and are now the first (and only) protective systems of this kind in the world to have CE marking. Extensive 1:1 tests were conducted to check the functionality of these flexible barriers made of high-strength steel wire, which make for an efficient alternative to conventional methods such as dams and walls. They protect infrastructure against the effects of spells of heavy rain, which we are having to deal with more and more often. Geobrugg meshes given seal of approval again A total of seven Geobrugg nets and meshes have also been awarded CE marking recently, including the trusty TECCO® G65/3 mesh, the MINAX® mesh for the underground mining industry, and the non-corrosive TECCO® STAINLESS. Some of these meshes are new innovations, opening up untapped market potential within their segments. And they have already managed to show off what they have to offer on multiple occasions. Investment security provides edge over the competition Armin Roduner, Head of the Technical Department at Geobrugg AG, who has been involved in efforts to push for the European Technical Assessment, said: “From one point of view, CE marking makes it easier for investors to compare parameters effectively, when it comes to tenders and the like. But it also stands for maximum legal certainty as far as the levels of performance promised bythe manufacturer are concerned.”
This is, therefore, a very clear way for Geobrugg to stand out against its competitors and stay ahead of the game.
